Product description Schwalbe Aerothan Presta 40 mm Inner Tube
Uniquely light and extremely stable. Schwalbe revolutionary new tube made of Aerothan achieves previously unattainable top values in terms of elasticity, weight and puncture resistance and does not require any rubber. When it comes to racing with a tube , the Aerothan Tube Race is the first choice. Because it impresses with its low rolling resistance and dynamic, smoother driving dynamics. Compared to butyl tubes, a weight saving of 100 grams and more can be achieved for the entire bike. You can rely on the Aerothan Tube Race not only for its excellent puncture protection, but also when driving downhill: it remains absolutely heat-resistant even after several emergency brakes with rim brakes in quick succession.
Aerothane tube: Aerothan is a material that completely redefines the bicycle tube: extremely light, highly puncture-proof and designed for the lowest possible rolling resistance. The revolutionary tube made of Aerothan achieves previously unattainable top values in terms of elasticity, weight and puncture resistance. Especially for racing bikes, MTBs and trekking bikes.
Features:
- Consistently light up to the valve - around 40% lighter than a comparable Schwalbe Extralight tube
- Redefined puncture protection - the material suddenly prevents air loss
- Minimum rolling resistance - maximum driving dynamics
- Extremely heat resistant - approved for rim brakes
- Stable driving behavior - even at low air pressures
- Easy assembly - without slipping or getting jammed
- 100% recyclable

excellent road inner tube to keep as a spare in case of punctures. very light. It takes up very little space. robust. using it as a spare room also has a good quality/price ratio
Positively surprised

I was quite skeptical about the benefit of this type of light or rather extra light inner tube. For the moment I am very pleasantly surprised. They assemble well if you follow the instructions. They are “very pleasant to ride”. A really pleasant feeling. They are almost as light as advertised. I can't wait to get a puncture to see if the promises are kept.
Less weight less load

I haven't tried it yet, but with such a low weight, if it really holds up, it will prove to be an advantage for transportation, it no longer makes it difficult to carry that camera that takes up so much space and is so heavy.

Very good camera, lightweight, smooth running, durable and if required it can be repaired. I have used Schwalbe self-adhesive patches

1 puncture in almost 10 000km, the first one i bought has done 7000km. The most reliable TPU tube I´ve tried. The material seems robust, the ride feel is good and the weight and cost is low enough.
Great product

I have 4 of these TPUs, so far one of them punctured. It was a slow leaking one. With thinner, Ride Now TPUs I had issues, they dropped pressure immediately, but not with this one. This product brought back my trust in TPUs. Rolling resistance is a bit greater than the thinner ones, but the quality and reliability is far greater that worth the price for me.

Lightweight, durable and easy to assemble

I was skeptical mostly about puncture resistance, however, I happily had to change my mind. Not only are they much lighter than the already ´light´ Extra Light from the same manufacturer, but I haven't had a puncture yet after 6000 km. Therefore, same longevity as the others in butyl. Also, these are easy to assemble. The only precaution: BEFORE ASSEMBLY, you must not inflate them too much so as not to deform them. Just what little it takes to not pinch them during installation. It's true, they cost more than the normal ones or the Extra Light ones from Schwalbe itself, but about 150 grams less, especially on the rotating weights, are a lot, and you can feel them. I will buy them again for the other wheels as well.

Light and resistant. Easy assembly.
Small and light tubes. Easier to carry them as spare tubes.

They are smaller and lighter. They fit into the toolbox very easily. Mounting them was also easier compared to butyl tubes.

Test for several thousand km. Very light, just a little expensive (here I also found them for less than 17 euros on offer). With one I also punctured it and repaired it with the appropriate adhesives and it is still on the bike doing its job! If the hole is small, they deflate very slowly.

I keep it for emergencies in the saddlebag on both MTB and BDS. It takes up very little space and being more resistant they do not get damaged by being in the bag for a long time (while it happened to me that normal inner tubes, especially on MTBs, were sometimes already punctured when you had to mount them). Being more resistant, it is hoped that in the event of an emergency use they will allow you to finish the ride peacefully and not just to return home (the normal chamber in MTB is just for returning, because on the path you risk puncturing immediately)

Recently assembled with a pressure of half a bar less. Assembly is easy and they are light, recommended. However, we will see over time.

For road bike tires 700 × 28 Should I take 28-35 or 23-28? Thank you
Love Them!

I have been using these tubes for about a year and love them. I agree with the other reviewers that they are easier to install due to their smooth surface. I had one that had a puncture and I was able to make it all the way home on that tube before I made the repair! Also love the light weight advantage over traditional tubes.
Excellent and light

Ortime inner tubes. Very light and more resistant than normal ones. They are also easier to install thanks to the smoother material. I used them for a gravel bike

These tubes arrived fairly quickly. International can be unpredictably impacted lately for obvious reasons. Tube quality overall looks fine. Mount and inflate easily. Have no experience yet for durability from road debris but hopefully the claims for this enhancement will be met. Certainly are lighter than standard butyl tubes!

Mounted on the rear wheel where you get more holes, everything is ok with the same pressure it seems tougher than the rubber bladder and also improves road holding for punctures for now everything is ok we will see over time if it lasts

Pressure

Hello What is the max pressure these tubes are rated for? I can’t see this listed anywhere The tyres I’m using have a max of 94psi so planning to run about 90psi if this is ok with these tubes??
Answer of Emilio
You will not have any problem in this regard. The same criteria are followed as for conventional butyl tubes. The pressure limit is established by the tire manufacturer, not the tube. The only recommendation is that you do not apply a pressure higher than 4.5 psi so that it does not deform when it is outside the wheel to start assembly.

Hello! As previously asked, the description says 41g but the image shows 61g. Can you please check your stock and directly confirm what tube weight you all are selling? The image shows a 61g tube which is the "ALLAROUND TUBE" on the packaging in the bottom left corner, while the 41g tube described should read "RACE TUBE." So the weight on the bottom right corner of the box and and style of the tube that is in the bottom left corner would be appreciated! Thank you! :)
Answer of Antonio
I bought the ones that are for tires with a width of 23-28 mm. These do weigh 41 g. Those that are for larger widths weigh more.
Valve extension
11/06/2023
Jiri
Can I use valve extension for these tubes?
Answer of Boris
I´m afraid no. The valve head itself has no thread that a valve extension (as I know it) could hold onto. Unless you unscrew the existing valve (that works!) and screw a longer valve head into the hose thread. However, I would recommend buying an Aerothan tube with a longer valve (up to 80mm).

In the description the weight is: "Weight according to the manufacturer: 41g Heavy weight: 47g" In one of the images the packaging refers to 61g. What is the correct information for this item?
Answer of Adriano
It no longer weighs 50 grams (width 23-28).

Good evening I have some Vittoria rubino pro 700x28 tires. Which aerothan inner tube should I use? 23/28 white okay? Greetings
Answer of Brad
I run 700 x 35mm Rene Herse tires so I use the 700 x 28-35 with a 40 mm valve stem Aerothan Tube. I have done so for thousands of miles without any issues. I love these tubes! I checked the BikeInn website and didn´t see a 23-28 mm option but you should be good to go with either tube (the 23-28 or 28-35mm) just make sure you get the correct valve stem length for your wheels. If you run deep section aero wheels you will need a longer valve stem if not the 40mm valve stem should be good to go. Hope that helps!
Size and patch kits

Derek
Do you sell patch kits for these tubes also I have size 35 tyres does this mean that the 28 -35 will fit my tyres my bike is a Marin Fairfax 3 hybrid fitness bike thanks
Answer of Brad
Yes, they should fit just fine, just make sure that the valve stem is the proper length for your wheels. If you have deep section (aero) wheels you would need a longer stem than 40mm otherwise you should be good to go. As far as patches go the Park Tool GP-2 Glueless patches work just fine for these tubes. To my knowledge Schwalbe has not produced a patch for these tubes as of yet. These tubes are actually easier to patch than standard butyl tubes, there is no need to scuff the surface of the tube with Aerothan Tubes just make sure and clean the surface of the tube with an alcohol swab (I carry little packs of these when I ride in my repair kit) and let the alcohol dry before applying the patch. Last thing, make sure when applying patches to these tubes you press the patch down directly over the puncture and smooth it out toward the edges of the patch (like you would when applying a sticker to a car windshield for example) This prevents tiny pockets of air forming causing the patch to fail. I have been using these tubes for a while now and love them and found them to be very reliable if installed correctly…no issues!

emmerich bezovits
hello, can you use this tube for a 25mm wide tire? LG bezovits
Answer of ALAIN
Yes this aerothan RACE 41g tube is suitable for a 25mm wide tire
Answer of Armin
The Aerothan tube is a huge step forward, rolling resistance is 20% lower and the weight is around 60% lower. The Race version goes up to 25mm and the Endurance goes up to 35mm tire width. The widths must not be exceeded! There are valve extensions for higher aero rims.
