Product description

The perfect shoe for climbers looking to take their game to the next level - the La Sportiva Women's Kataki! This performance-oriented climbing shoe boasts quite a bit of pre-tension and asymmetry for superior edging! What's more, the shoe's S-Heel construction system will allow for perfect stability and control whilst heel hooking. Thanks to the P3 system, the shoe will retain its shape for the lifespan of the shoe. The shoe itself is made of robust and adaptable chamois leather.
Plus, it is equipped with laces, so you'll be able to find the perfect fit. In addition, the shoe features a 3/4 sole for easy resoling. With its unique rubber compound, the high-quality Vibram XS Grip 2 sole will not only provide optimal grip on the wall but will also guarantee exceptional durability and abrasion resistance. All this makes the La Sportiva Women's Kataki the perfect shoe for intermediate and more advanced climbing, regardless of whether you're climbing at the gym, in a climbing garden or at the crag!

Question from Doina

Sizeing

Hello, I want to buy a pair of Kataki's but I have to choose between 39,5 and 40. My street shoes are usually 41 (I measure about 26.5 cm) and I have Egiptian toes. I have a nedium width foot. This will be my first performance shoes, I have climbed Simond 40 (25.5 cm)until now. I do not have where to try, so I have to buy online. I tried LS Finale 39 and was too tight. Katana 40 was ok at toes but at the heal there remained some space, it also was very unconfortable there and made noises when I walked and it . Miura lace 39.5 was made toe-nuckle but I could stay 20 min without any pain, but it was too large at toes. I know it's difficult to give advice about sizing but maybe you can help a little bit. My level is about 6+ and I climb more outdoor. Thanks.

Hi Doina,
like you said, size advice is a bit tricky, but here we go. As the Kataki is built on the same last as the Katana, but with less volume overall, you should go by the size you would take in the Katana, in your case 40. The space issues you had in the Katana could be resolved here through the tighter fit in the Kataki. I hope this is helpful.
Best, Erik
